AMANDA VALLIS
FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
Originally from the NSW Central Coast, Amanda relocated to Tasmania in 2016, where she began working with a number of tourism businesses on a freelance basis. Her extensive experience across media, communications, events, partnerships and public relations quickly drove demand for her services, leading to the establishment of Pax Mondo and the strategic growth of a specialist team. With a background in restaurant PR and food events, Amanda has also held the role of Food Curator for Hobart’s Dark Mofo Festival for four consecutive years.
GEORGIE GOW
MARKETING LEAD, SENIOR ACCOUNT DIRECTOR
Since graduating with a Bachelor of Marketing & Management, Georgie has gone on to work in a number of senior marketing and business development roles in Tasmania, including with regional tourism organisation West by North West, adventure tourism brand Blue Derby Mountain Bike Trails, and NRMA’s Tasmanian accommodation portfolio. Georgie is a Director on the West by North West board, and has brought her passion for amplifying great brands and experiences to Pax Mondo since 2023.
LAURA DYBA
EVENTS LEAD, ACCOUNT DIRECTOR
With a background in hospitality and restaurant management, Laura's extensive experience in food and beverage operations, collaboration and stakeholder management allows her to deliver strong publicity outcomes for a number of our award-winning restaurant clients. Along with account management, Laura brings her expertise in event management to overseeing the curation and delivery of Pax Mondo's event projects, with highlights including north west Tasmania's annual TrailGraze (2022-2025), immersive campaign activations, and national brand and product launches.
EMMA AZON-JACOMETTI
CONTENT & COMMUNICATIONS LEAD
With an academic background in communications, Emma also brings a wealth of experience in the hospitality and tourism industries to her role, having worked within the Federal Group’s tourism portfolio for almost a decade, and as Corporate Affairs Manager at Tourism Industry Council Tasmania. Passionate about words and connecting deeply with audiences, she works with our clients to craft written narratives that tell their unique stories.
FRANCES ROBERTS
DESIGN LEAD
Fran completed her studies in Applied and Interior Design while working on high-end architectural residential projects with multi-award winning building company, In2Construction. During this time she was recognised as runner-up for Design Student of the Year at the Diemen Design Awards, and took out the Emerging Talent Award at the National Association of Women in Construction Awards. At Pax Mondo, Fran turns her hand to creative and practical tasks alike. Whether crafting a brand identity, building a website, or donning the toolbelt for custom event buildouts and fabrications, Fran creates beautiful assets that help our clients tell their stories.
LARA CHRISTIE
SOCIAL MEDIA LEAD
Lara is a multidisciplinary creative working across styling, design, and digital content. With a background in graphic design and a certification in fashion styling from FIT in New York, she combines a practical eye for detail with a thoughtful approach to how people and brands express themselves. After working in digital roles across Melbourne, Perth, and Tasmania, Lara returned home to Nipaluna/Hobart. She now offers content creation, creative direction and social media assistance to our clients, with a focus on considered, brand-aligned design.
